It Starts with the Shoes

I went and did a really dumb thing.
I promised to run a seven-mile road race in July 2018.

I've never run in my life and I have to run a race in... 333 days.
There will be crazy hills and heat and unpredictable crowds and
I have run precisely zero miles in a row and 
it's seven miles!  Seven!

It was a really dumb promise.

Saturday I bought shoes.

So I guess this is really happening.
First run starts now.
Wish me luck.
